My new novel, Seeing Evil, will be published on August 4, 2015 from Red Adept Publishing. Below is the synopsis and cover image:
Fate in plain sight.
Major Crimes Detective Samantha Reilly prefers to work alone—she’s seen as a maverick, and she still struggles privately with the death of her partner. The only person who ever sees her softer side is Michael Turcotte, a teenager she’s known since she rescued him eleven years ago from the aftermath of his parents’ murder-suicide.
In foster care since his parents’ death, Michael is a loner who tries to fly under the bullies’ radar, but a violent assault triggers a disturbing ability to view people’s dark futures. No one believes his first vision means anything, though—not even Sam Reilly. When reality mimics his prediction, however, Sam isn’t the only one to take notice. A strange girl named Tessa Masterson asks Michael about her future, and what he sees sends him back to Sam—is Tessa victim or perpetrator?
Tessa’s tangled secrets draw Michael and Sam inexorably into a deadly conflict. Sam relies on Michael, but his only advantage is the visions he never asked for. As they track a cold and calculating killer, one misstep could turn the hunters into prey.
Bad Apples is the product of months of collaboration with some of the finest people I have had the opportunity to work with. We all share a love for horror, and I think it shows in the anthology. I am proud to have been part of this group of talented writers, all of whom I tip my hat to and say, “job well done.”
In addition to offering my Kindle version of What Hides Within for 99 cents at Friday’s event, Dark Side of the Sun,
I’ve also put a signed paperback copy among the prizes in the rafflecopter giveaway. You can win a ton of prizes at this even from 16 different authors. Should be fun, so stop by… unless you are getting drunk on a Friday night, then I understand… hmmm, that gives me an idea… http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/da117c4/
Writing, of course! So, I will have two stories in this July’s Of Words and Water anthology, where I get the chance to show off my literary bend (or embarrass myself), all for the sake of charity. After that, i will have another short horror story appearing in Tales of Firelight and Shadow, an anthology with a folklore leaning… And maybe there will be additional news soon to come. Yep, I am still writing, people!
Check out my latest interview and enter to win one signed paperback copy and/or one Kindle copy for every 100 entries. I had some fun with this interview. And check out the rest of the blog, too – as a horror fan, it’s one of my favorites! Thanks, Ravenous Reads!
I will post the new date as soon as we work things out
In two days (Saturday, February 8, 2014), I will be interviewed by CK Webb over at WebbWeaver Books, http://www.blogtalkradio.com/webbweaverbooks
This will be a blog radio interview, so for those of you who want to hear my sexy, sultry voice, complete with an authentic masshole accent, you won’t want to miss.
Oh, and I’ll probably discuss upcoming projects, too.
